When I first moved into Phra Khanong nearly seven years ago, Bangkok didn’t feel nearly as pet-friendly as it does today. Back then, bringing Preston along usually meant researching in advance, sitting outdoors in the heat, or rotating between the same few places that actually welcomed dogs comfortably. Most of the time, it honestly felt easier to just leave him at home.
Fast forward to now, and it feels like the city has slowly evolved alongside the people living in it. More cafés, restaurants, parks, and lifestyle spaces across Bangkok are becoming genuinely welcoming toward pets rather than just “technically allowed.” And as someone whose weekends, coffee runs, and even travel plans now revolve around Preston too, it’s been really nice watching that shift happen.
So here’s some pet-friendly places around Bangkok that have made city life with a dog feel a little easier, starting with one of the neighborhoods I’ve called home, Phra Khanong.

A cozy all-day brunch café tucked inside Pridi 26 with a calm garden atmosphere that feels surprisingly peaceful for Bangkok. Best known for their nourishing dishes and delicious coffee.
Pridi
Part café, part creative hangout, this bright neighborhood space has the kind of relaxed energy that makes it easy to lose track of time. I love pretty much everything on the menu carb-wise, and the garden view somehow makes slow mornings and long lunches feel even better.
LUNAS LUNAS
A cozy house-style café with plenty of outlets, making it one of those places you can easily work from all day. Spacious, modern, and relaxed, with pastries that are genuinely worth saving room for. It’s also one of those neighborhood cafés that quietly becomes part of people’s routines.
Detour
A favorite among locals for freshly baked pastries, sourdough, and comforting brunch plates, with an easygoing community feel that makes people linger longer than planned. And yes, there’s also a wine dispenser. My personal favorite on the menu is surprisingly the kaprow.
Holey Mothership Bakery & Cafe
The OG spot for very good sandwiches in Pridi as well as sourdough bread.
Parmi.bkk
A cozy Italian restaurant serving handmade pasta and indulgent dishes like the carbonara, truffle risotto, and foie gras. Dining at Parmi feels intimate without being overly formal, making it perfect for those quieter dinners when you just lowkey want good food and wine.
Earthy Society
A relaxed all-day dining space where brunch slowly turns into wine nights and pizza dinners. The atmosphere feels social without being overwhelming.
Habito Mall
One of the more community-driven lifestyle spaces around Phra Khanong, especially for pet parents. Between cafés, open walkways, and regular local events, it’s become an easy place for casual walks, errands, and weekend afternoons with dogs with most of their dining spots being pet-friendly.

A boutique pet hotel and grooming space tucked away in Pridi 26 with a more personal, home-like feel rather than a clinical one. Known for attentive staff, free play, and a calmer environment that makes leaving your dog there feel a little less stressful.
Puenpet Dog Hotel
One of those smaller neighborhood dog hotels people keep recommending through word of mouth. Cozy, low-key, and comforting for pet parents who prefer somewhere that feels warm and personal rather than overly commercial.
Summer Dog Pool
A fun little hidden gem for dogs that love swimming or just need to burn off energy indoors during Bangkok’s hotter days. It feels more playful than polished, which honestly adds to the charm.
Hato Pet Wellness Center
Part grooming salon, part clinic, part pet lifestyle space, Hatto feels modern, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed for both pets and their owners. It’s basically an all-in-one destination for pet care without feeling overly clinical or intimidating.
Pimmi’s Perspective
One of the things I’ve always loved about is how lived-in and low-key Phra Khanong feels. Over the years, I’ve watched the area slowly grow into a place where cafés, restaurants, grooming salons, and little lifestyle spaces naturally started becoming more welcoming toward pets too.
It still feels calmer and more local compared to other parts of Bangkok, which honestly makes discovering places around here even nicer. And with more people building their routines around their pets now, I have a feeling even more pet-friendly places will keep popping up soon.
